A Taste Of Our YarnWest Yorkshire Spinners The Croft Shetland is a captivating Aran wool
Fawning is a luxurious DK-weight blend of baby alpaca and extra fine merino wool. The heathered colorways will look stunning in textured stitch patterns like cables and colorwork.
Alpaca 2 is a soft, yet structured blend of alpaca & wool. The plied strand gives wonderful stitch definition to cables, lace & textured patterns. Wool gives the yarn shape & structure, while the alpaca delivers a soft halo & perfect amount of drape. A light, yet cozy yarn ideal for shawls, wraps, accessories & fine gauge sweaters.
Isager mohair silk. Spun with soft, warm kid mohair & luminous silk, this lace weight yarn may be knit alone for airy, cloud-like wraps, cowls & scarves. Isager Tweed. Tweedy bits punctuate this soft, yet durable fingering weight yarn that combines wool with a touch of mohair. The single-ply construction gives this yarn a casual luxe look for relaxed cardigans, pullovers & cold weather accessories such as hats & mittens.
ISAGER ALPACA 3 is an I-cord spun yarn made from 50% wool and 50% alpaca. The yarn is soft, has a airy feel and comes in a wide range of colors.
Through an agreement with the now-closed Shibui Knits, Madelinetosh is re-releasing Shibui’s yarns. They are spun to the same specifications at the same Japanese mill as the original.

Stitch Markers Community Spotlight This month we are showcasing Gina!! A long time Gosh Yarn It supporter and official shop horticulturalist. Gina is a little camera shy but thankfully Clancy is not. For anyone looking to motivate Gina here is a hint; "My dad always said there were two ways to get me to do something. The first was encouragement, the second was to snort and say 'Hah, you can't do that!' Turns out the second option works more effectively." Gina has been knitting since she was about 9 years old. "I love to knit. Period. I do it all the time". Her motto is; "I can (and will) knit anywhere. She figures, if Eleanor (Roosevelt) could knit at the United Nations, she (Gina) can knit anywhere. And she does! At home, in meetings, at seminars, at sporting events, the list doesn't end. From items for herself to kid sweaters for friends (even strangers) who are having babies, hats that eventually find homes and playing with colors, textures and more. Yarn is her happy place. When Gina first heard that there was a yarn store opening in Kingston she was delighted. She was there on the very first day it opened and hasn't looked back. When asked what she likes about Gosh yarn It she says "the welcoming atmosphere, and the fibers and colors and they way the yarn feels and......" she could go on all day. As for stories, she has a ton and would love to sit down and share them (while knitting of course) if anyone is interested. Here are just a few of the amazing items Gina has knitted.
